Additional Speaker Added to LGBT+ STEM Day Line Up

We’re pleased to confirm that, following some helpful feedback from members of staff, we’ve been able to engage an additional speaker for our International Day of LGBT+ People in STEM 2019 event. Amanda Langley, of the Faculty of Medicine and Health, will be providing a talk on her own personal experiences of being LGBT+ within STEM.

LGBT+ Role Model, Heather Swinsco, will also be leading a session about building on the pledges made at the recent IDAHoBiT event.

The event is now fully booked, however we do have a waiting list for those still interested in attending – enquiries should be sent to equality@leeds.ac.uk.

The final version of the agenda is available on the event page.

Don’t forget we’re also flying the LGBT+ flag and lighting up the Parkinson Building as part of our LGBT+ STEM Day celebrations.
