All Staff and Students are invited to attend a lunchtime event to mark the International Day of LGBT+ People in STEM.

5 July 2019 marks the second International Day of LGBT+ people in STEM. The University’s Equality & Inclusion Unit in conjunction with the Faculties of Biological Sciences, Engineering, Environment, Mathematics and Physical Sciences and Medicine and Health will be marking the achievements and highlighting the challenges of LGBT+ people in STEM in a lunchtime event.

The event will be an opportunity to hear about peoples’ personal experiences, to learn about the University’s involvement in the EPSRC Inclusion Matters Programme (led by Durham University and investigating shared characteristic mentoring) and to contribute to ideas for future events.

The event is free and will open at 12.00pm and close at 13.30pm with lunch provided.
