More than half of staff are female
The figures in this section provide information on the overall University of Leeds staff population by gender*. Across the university 54% (n=5,023) of staff are female and 46% (n=4,279) are male.
*Since these data were published, the University has introduced additional gender categories in the Equal Opportunities Monitoring.
Proportion of gender across categories
This shows the overall staff population by gender across categories. 44% of academic staff are female and 56% are male, 61% of professional and managerial staff are female and 39% are male, and 64% of support staff are female and 36% are male.
