The majority of staff are aged between 30 and 59 years

This page provides a breakdown of university staff by age group. Currently staff aged between 30 and 59 account for 76% (n=8,465) of the total staff population. The percentage of staff across the different age categories are:

  • Age category 20 – 29: 15% (n=1,395)
  • Age category 30 – 39: 29% (n=2,698)
  • Age category 40 – 49: 26% (n=2,419)
  • Age category 50 – 59: 21% (n=1,953)
  • Age category 60+: 9% (n=837)
